Filter Insertion Sensor
Most IPL systems on the market don’t have a filter insertion sensor, meaning the operator, by error, can operate the machine without inserting an IPL filter, which can cause serious burns. The Transcend Desktop recognises if the filter is inserted in the hand piece. If the filter is not inserted, the machine will not fire shots, eliminating the possibility of operator error.

What is BBR mode in IPL?
Broad Band Rejuvenation Light therapy is a latest development in Pulsed Light therapy or the photo facial. How does BBR work?
The light energy delivered in BBR mode gently heats the upper layers of skin using multiple flashes at lower intensity and lower frequencies compared to virtually one large dose of energy used by classic IPL. Our system is fully computerised to deliver the right dose of energy at the right frequency for best possible results. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas stimulates skin cells to regenerate new collagen. This process restores skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colours and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking. In addition, the photo thermal energy will eliminate fine vessels that cause redness and reduce unwanted melanin that produces pigmented lesions. What is SHR?
SHR stands for Super-fast Hair Reduction. It is a step forward in permanent hair reduction. SHR is the most advanced way of removing unwanted hair today. It is a new generation of IPL systems using In-motion technology. SHR is four times faster than traditional IPL and Laser, it is safer and pain free. It treats all skin and hair types including white hair.​

How does SHR work?
SHR takes a revolutionary approach, rather that bombarding skin with high amounts of Joules (energy). SHR fires multiple shots but at low Joules, in doing so it gently heats the hair follicle to the heat needed and the most felt is warmth and a tingling sensation. Some clients compare it to a warm massage. SHR also utilises In-motion technology, where the hand piece is always in motion over the skin, easy to compare to ironing. What areas can be treated?
Any area of the body can be treated. Due to being the most often exposed to the damaging effects of sunlight, the most popular treatments are on the face, neck, back of the hands, chest and shoulders.

How many treatments are needed?
To fully treat the area same as all other light based hair reduction systems (Laser or IPL) you may require 6-10 treatments at four week intervals. A four week regime is important to maintain so that the SHR treatments get the hair at its four week re-growth. Near the end of the treatments 6-8 week intervals will be needed to finish off your course.
